Build a practical workstation around two computers, one HDMI monitor and your preferred USB accessories. The UGREEN AK502 HDMI KVM switch lets you move between connected computers with a button press, so the same keyboard, mouse and display can serve a work laptop and a desktop. Its four USB 3.0 accessory ports also let you share devices such as a printer, webcam or external drive. This is especially useful when the two computers run different software or belong to different people, but share the same working area. You choose which system has access to the connected equipment at any moment. The physical HDMI and USB connections make the setup easy to understand: HDMI carries the picture, while the separate USB connection gives the selected computer access to your keyboard, mouse and other accessories. What it does well.
Key features
One monitor, two computers. Select which computer uses the shared HDMI display and USB peripherals without repeatedly moving cables between machines. The computers remain independent, with their own operating systems, applications and files. Switching the peripherals does not move work from one computer to the other.
4K at 60Hz. Enjoy a sharp, smooth picture on a compatible display. HDMI 2.0, HDR and HDCP 2.2/1.4 support suit modern office and entertainment setups. For the best result, check the computer's HDMI output, monitor input and every cable in the path. A lower-capability component can limit the available display mode.
Four shared USB ports. Three USB-A ports and one USB-C port provide connections for everyday accessories, with USB 3.0 transfer rates up to 5Gbps. USB bandwidth is shared by the active connection. Large file transfers, a webcam and other busy accessories can compete for that bandwidth during simultaneous use.
Switch from your desk. Use the button on the switch or its wired desktop controller to change the active computer. Plug-and-play operation keeps initial setup straightforward. Place the wired controller within easy reach and keep the main unit where the host cables route neatly. You can change computers without reaching behind the monitor.

Work and personal computers. Share your desk monitor and input devices between a work computer and your own PC while keeping each system separate.
A tidier home office. Connect common peripherals to one switch so your keyboard, mouse, webcam and other USB devices are ready for the selected machine.
Shared specialist equipment. Keep a USB printer, scanner or other supported accessory connected to the switch when two computers need to use it at different times. Install any required accessory drivers on both computers. Finish the current print, scan or transfer job before switching ownership of that device.

Setup and everyday use

- Use the case button or wired controller to select a computer. Set a resolution and refresh rate supported by both the source and display.
