How switching and multi-display behavior works
Two sources share one DisplayPort monitor. The path is one-way, 2-in/1-out only; it cannot send one source to two monitors or drive both inputs together.
Control: One hardware selection button with source indicator.

Setup and usability guidance
Best first test: one source, one short cable path, one display and 1080p60. Expand only after this baseline works.
- Step 1: Connect the included USB-A-to-C cable from a stable 5V source to the power input.
- Step 2: Connect the desktop DP output to DP Input 1 using a DP cable.
- Step 3: Connect a DP Alt Mode USB-C device to USB-C Input 2 using a fully featured video cable.
- Step 4: Connect DP Output to the monitor with a DP 1.4 cable.
- Step 5: Select a source and start at 1080p60 or 4K60 before testing higher modes.
- Step 6: Enable HDR or VRR only after the base path is stable and all endpoints explicitly support the feature.

What this product does

- Supports its ceiling: Listing/gallery claim up to 8K60, 4K240/120 and 1080p240 with a fully compatible path.
- Uses these ports: 1 × DisplayPort female + 1 × USB-C female video input → 1 × DisplayPort female.

- Passes compatible audio: Compatible DisplayPort audio follows the selected source. Dolby, DTS and LPCM are listed, but the switch does not decode or create those formats.

Warnings and limitations
- Power: USB-C 5V power input; included USB-A-to-USB-C power cable; wall adapter not listed.
- Display negotiation: mixed displays can force a lower common mode or create a blank screen.
- Protected content: HDCP must be supported end to end; the device cannot bypass protection.
- Heat and moisture: indoor use only; keep dry, ventilated and away from direct heat.
- Cables: UGREEN’s gallery says 8K operation requires standard DP 1.4 cable at both input and output. Use short, DP/USB-C video cables and stable 5V power. No DSC capability is asserted because the material does not specify it.
