How switching and multi-display behavior works
Bidirectional describes port arrangement, not simultaneous duplication. In 1-in/2-out use only the selected display works. A 3–7 second HDMI re-handshake after switching is listed, and the unit defaults to Port 1 because it has no memory.
Control: Single hardware selection button with LED indicators.
Never assume: a product advertised as “bidirectional,” “splitter” or “matrix” behaves like another topology. Follow the source/output map above.

Setup and usability guidance
Best first test: one source, one short cable path, one display and 1080p60. Expand only after this baseline works.
- Step 1: Decide whether the layout is 2 sources → 1 display or 1 source → 2 selectable displays.
- Step 2: Connect only according to that layout; all three sockets are HDMI but their role depends on direction.
- Step 3: Use the button to select Port 1 or Port 2.
- Step 4: Allow several seconds for HDMI and HDCP re-handshake after switching.
- Step 5: If blank, test at 1080p60 with one short cable on each side.
- Step 6: Do not expect both displays to light at once in 1-in/2-out mode.

What this product does
- Follows this path: Mode A: two HDMI sources → button selects one → one display. Mode B: one HDMI source → button selects one → one of two displays. It never drives both display branches simultaneously.
- Supports its ceiling: Up to 4096 × 2160 at 60Hz; 1080p120 also listed.
- Uses these ports: Three identical HDMI sockets used according to the chosen 2-in/1-out or 1-in/2-out arrangement → One selected HDMI path at a time.
- Handles control this way: Single hardware selection button with LED indicators.
- Passes compatible audio: Compatible HDMI audio pass-through; the listing names DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, LPCM 7.1, DTS, Dolby AC-3 and DSD. The selector does not decode audio.

- Protected content: HDCP must be supported end to end; the device cannot bypass protection.
- Heat and moisture: indoor use only; keep dry, ventilated and away from direct heat.
- Cables: Use short, HDMI cables for high-bandwidth modes. this SKU page does not provide one universal 4K60 length ceiling, so no unsupported distance is promised.
