How switching and multi-display behavior works
Mirror/duplicate only. EDID control helps present a chosen capability to the source, but it does not independently scale each output. Output 1 is the designated CEC-capable path according to the listing.
Control: Front EDID selector plus LED indicators; there is no source selector because only one source is accepted.
Never assume: a product advertised as “bidirectional,” “splitter” or “matrix” behaves like another topology. Follow the source/output map above.

Setup and usability guidance
Best first test: one source, one short cable path, one display and 1080p60. Expand only after this baseline works.
- Step 1: Connect the source to Input and one known-good display to Output 1.
- Step 2: Connect stable USB power and leave it connected.
- Step 3: Choose an EDID setting that the source and all intended screens support.
- Step 4: Confirm picture and audio on Output 1 before attaching additional displays.
- Step 5: Add Outputs 2–4 one at a time, watching for a common-mode downgrade or blank screen.
- Step 6: Use short HDMI cables for 4K60 and protected HDR content.

What this product does
- Follows this path: One HDMI input → EDID-controlled powered distribution → four HDMI outputs showing the same programme.
- Supports its ceiling: Up to 4K at 60Hz; backward compatible with 4K30 and 1080p60.
- Uses these ports: 1 × HDMI Type-A female → 4 × HDMI Type-A female.
- Handles control this way: Front EDID selector plus LED indicators; there is no source selector because only one source is accepted.
- Passes compatible audio: Compatible HDMI audio follows the mirrored source. The splitter does not decode, mix or create four independent audio programmes.
What this product does not do
- Mirror only; no extended desktop
- One source only; not a 4-input switch
- CEC is listed only on Output 1
- HDMI cables are not included
- Every display must accept the chosen EDID mode
What to do
Label.
Build gradually.
Verify cables.
Power safely.
Record settings.
What not to do
Do not reverse.
Do not confuse.
Do not assume scaling.
Do not force.
Do not overclaim.
Warnings and limitations
- Power: USB power is required throughout use.
- Display negotiation: mixed displays can force a lower common mode or create a blank screen.
- Protected content: HDCP must be supported end to end; the device cannot bypass protection.
- Heat and moisture: indoor use only; keep dry, ventilated and away from direct heat.
- Cables: The page does not give a dependable universal length ceiling for SKU 90514. Use short certified cables for 4K60 and add one output at a time when commissioning.
