Features

What it does well.

UGREEN CM769 24-bit/96kHz USB RGB Microphone – 35629

Built for voices, streams and team communication

High-resolution audio. Supports recording formats up to 24-bit/96kHz for detailed digital voice capture.

Directional pickup. The cardioid pattern focuses primarily on sound arriving from the microphone's front.

Direct monitoring. Connect wired headphones to hear the microphone signal with minimal monitoring delay.

On-mic controls. Manage input level, headphone volume, lighting modes and mute without opening software menus.

Up to 24-bit/96kHz digital recording

The CM769 combines a 14mm condenser capsule with a maximum 24-bit/96kHz USB audio format. This gives recording software more digital resolution for speech, commentary, streaming and voiceover work.

Software setting required: Windows, macOS, OBS and other applications may initially select a lower sample rate. Choose the required format in the operating-system and recording-app audio settings when 24-bit/96kHz operation is needed.

Cardioid pickup focuses on the speaker

The directional cardioid pattern is most sensitive to sound arriving from the front. Position the UGREEN logo towards your mouth and place keyboards, computer fans and other noise sources behind the microphone where possible.

A cardioid microphone reduces sensitivity to sound from the rear, but does not completely remove background noise. The distance from your voice, microphone gain, room acoustics and noise-source positioning remain important.

Position it correctly for a clearer recording

Direction

Point the front with the UGREEN logo towards the speaker.

Distance

Begin approximately 20–40cm away, then adjust according to voice level.

Gain

Use only enough input gain to produce a clear signal without clipping.

Environment

Use curtains, soft furnishings and a quiet room to reduce echo and reflections.

Seven onboard RGB lighting modes

The circular light ring adds visual colour to gaming, streaming and recording setups. Available effects include static single colours, animated single-colour effects and a multicolour dynamic effect.

RGB selection is controlled directly from the microphone using the mode button and multifunction knob. The listing does not indicate motherboard, app or third-party RGB ecosystem synchronisation.

Touch mute and selectable noise control

Tap the touch-sensitive control on top of the microphone to mute or unmute the input without creating the mechanical click of a conventional switch. The light briefly displays a mute-status colour for visual confirmation.

Pressing and holding the top control for approximately two seconds toggles the onboard noise-control mode. Noise processing may help in some environments, but it can also alter the natural character of a voice. Compare recordings with the feature on and off before an important session.

Direct wired-headphone monitoring

Connect compatible wired headphones to the microphone's 3.5mm output to hear your input directly. This helps you check microphone position, voice level, plosives and unwanted room noise while recording.

  • Use wired headphones for monitoring; Bluetooth headphones do not connect to the microphone's 3.5mm port.
  • Select the UGREEN microphone as both input and output when your computer should route playback through its headphone jack.
  • Disable duplicate software monitoring if you hear an echo or delayed second copy of your voice.
  • The 3.5mm connection is intended for headphones, not an external loudspeaker system.

Plug-and-play across supported systems

Windows. Connect by USB, then select β€œUGREEN USB MIC-CM769” as the recording input and, if required, playback device.

macOS. Choose the microphone under Sound Input. Select it under Output when using headphones connected to the microphone.

Linux. Supports compatible systems using standard USB audio, subject to the distribution, audio server and application settings.

PS4 and PS5. Connect to USB and choose the UGREEN microphone as the console input. Game and application voice-chat support varies.

Nintendo Switch. USB microphone operation depends on dock mode, game and voice-chat implementation; it is not supported by every title.

USB-C iPhone. A data-capable USB-C to USB-C cable is required. App support and available audio formats depend on iOS and the recording application.

Made for everyday content and communication

Recording expectation: microphones cannot compensate completely for a noisy or echoing room. For more natural results, use a quiet space, position the microphone close enough to the speaker and reduce gain rather than recording from across the room.

Quick setup

  1. Place the microphone on a stable desk and angle the UGREEN logo towards your mouth.
  2. Connect the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable between the microphone and host device.
  3. Select β€œUGREEN USB MIC-CM769” as the input device in the operating system.
  4. Select the same microphone inside OBS, Discord, Zoom, recording software or the game being used.
  5. Speak at normal volume from approximately 20–40cm away.
  6. Adjust microphone gain while watching the application's input meter.
  7. Connect wired headphones to the 3.5mm port if direct monitoring is required.
  8. Make a short test recording before starting a stream, meeting or podcast.

Simple gain-setting guide

  • Set the microphone to input-control mode using the front mode button.
  • Speak at the loudest level expected during normal use.
  • Raise the gain until the voice is clearly visible on the software meter.
  • Reduce gain if the meter reaches red, clips or sounds distorted.
  • Move closer before adding excessive gain; this generally improves the voice-to-room-noise ratio.

Care and operating guidance

  • Do not tap, strike or drop the microphone; condenser capsules are sensitive components.
  • Keep liquids, condensation and excessive humidity away from the grille and USB port.
  • Do not blow directly into the capsule to test it.
  • Keep the USB cable away from sharp bends, chair wheels and stretched positions.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning; do not spray cleaner onto the microphone.
  • Disconnect and store it in a cool, dry location when unused for extended periods.

FAQs

Questions buyers ask.

Does the microphone require an audio interface?

No. It contains its own USB audio conversion and connects directly to a supported USB host.

Does it have an XLR output?

No. This is a digital USB microphone and cannot connect to an XLR input without an unsupported conversion arrangement.

Is it wireless or Bluetooth?

No. The microphone requires a wired USB data and power connection.

Which side should I speak into?

Speak towards the front carrying the UGREEN logo. Do not speak into the top, side edge or rear.

How far should the microphone be from my mouth?

Start at approximately 20–40cm and adjust according to voice level, room conditions and gain setting.

Tap the touch-sensitive control on top of the microphone to mute or unmute the input.

How do I activate noise control?

Press and hold the top touch control for approximately two seconds to toggle the onboard noise-control mode.

What does the multifunction knob control?

It adjusts microphone input level, headphone output volume or RGB effects according to the mode selected with the front button.

Can the RGB lighting synchronise with my PC?

No software or motherboard RGB-sync support is specified. Lighting effects are selected using the microphone's onboard controls.

Does it work with PS5?

Yes. Connect it by USB and select it under the PS5 microphone input settings. Individual game and application support may vary.

Does it work with a USB-C laptop?

Yes, when used with a compatible data-capable USB-C to USB-C cable or suitable USB-A adapter. A USB-C to USB-C cable is not included.

Can I use it with a USB-C iPhone?

Compatible USB-C iPhone models can use it with a data-capable USB-C to USB-C cable and a supported recording application.

Why is my recording not showing 96kHz?

The operating system or application may have selected a lower default format. Choose the required sample rate in both system and recording-software settings where available.

Can I connect speakers to the headphone port?

The 3.5mm output is intended for compatible wired headphones. External speaker operation is not listed as supported.
