Will it work with your setup?
- Both devices should have 4-pole (TRRS) 3.5mm ports for the microphone to work, such as phone, laptop and controller headset jacks.
- Devices with 3-pole (TRS) ports only will play audio, but the microphone signal will not pass through.
- Computers with separate pink mic and green headphone jacks need a TRRS splitter adapter.
Setup and everyday use
- Check that both devices use combined 4-pole headset jacks.
- Plug the cable fully into both 3.5mm ports; a half-inserted plug can drop the mic or one channel.
- Select the headset as the input and output device in your phone, computer or console settings.
- Test the microphone in a call or recording app.

Before you buy
- This is a 4-pole TRRS cable. For devices with 3-pole TRS ports only, microphone pass-through will not work.
- Some headsets use a different pin standard or a proprietary plug; check the headset accepts a standard 3.5mm TRRS cable.
