It carries video up to 4K at 60Hz and audio through a single cable, making it useful when a TV, projector or monitor sits some distance from the source. Aluminium connector housings and gold-plated HDMI plugs finish the cable for a neat AV installation. The extra reach gives you more freedom to separate the screen from equipment such as a media player, meeting-room computer or AV cabinet. Active optical construction uses electronics in the connectors and a fibre path through the cable, so installation direction matters. Decide which end of the room contains the source before routing it. This 10m version is a practical choice when the measured cable path, including bends and access behind each device, fits within that length.

What it does well.
Key features
10-metre reach. Route an HDMI connection between separated devices in a meeting room, home cinema or presentation space. Measure along the actual planned path rather than straight across the floor. Furniture, wall edges and the space behind mounted equipment can use more cable than expected.
4K at 60Hz. The HDMI 2.0 connection supports up to 18Gbps bandwidth for compatible Ultra HD sources and displays. The cable carries the video mode supplied by the source. It does not upscale lower-resolution content or add display capabilities that the screen does not already have.
Active optical transmission. A fibre-optic signal path helps carry high-bandwidth video over a longer run while limiting susceptibility to electrical interference. The connection still uses familiar full-size HDMI plugs at both ends. You do not need to connect it to an optical audio or network-fibre socket.
Clearly marked direction. Source and Display connector markings identify the correct ends before you route the cable behind furniture or through an installation. Leave the connector labels accessible during the first test. Checking direction before securing the run can save time when the far end is difficult to reach.
Where it fits
Projector installations. Connect a media player or computer to a projector where a short desktop cable cannot reach.
Living rooms and meeting rooms. Place source equipment where it is convenient while keeping an HDMI connection to the screen across the room.
