Bring a wired network connection to a workstation, television or games console further from your router with the UGREEN 20168. This 30m black Cat6 UTP cable arrives with RJ45 plugs fitted at both ends, so you can connect suitable network equipment without cutting cable or crimping connectors. It supports Gigabit Ethernet at up to 1000Mbps with a 250MHz bandwidth. The round PVC cable is suited to an indoor route along a desk, skirting or suitable cable management. It is a practical option when Wi-Fi reception varies at the place where you work or watch. Plan the entire route before ordering, including corners and the distance behind each device, and allow a little spare length for a comfortable connection.

What it does well.
Key features
A ready-made 30m connection. The long cable reaches between rooms or across a larger workspace without adding an inline join. Both RJ45 plugs are already attached. This makes it straightforward to connect a computer to a router or a switch to another suitable network device once the route has been planned.
Gigabit Ethernet support. Up to 1000Mbps data transmission supports everyday internet use and local network transfers on compatible equipment. The 250MHz bandwidth describes the cable specification. Actual download and transfer speeds depend on the ports, network settings, internet service and devices at both ends.
Twisted-pair construction. Four twisted pairs and an internal cross separator organise the eight conductors. The NW102 construction uses 26AWG copper-clad aluminium with a round PVC jacket. UTP means unshielded twisted pair; the internal separator is not an overall metal shield.
Moulded RJ45 plugs. Gold-plated contacts and protective connector housings provide a practical plug-in connection. Press each plug into the Ethernet socket until its latch engages. Leave enough slack behind equipment so the cable does not pull on the socket when the device is moved slightly.
Where it fits
A study away from the router. Run an Ethernet connection to a desktop or a laptop with an Ethernet port. A compatible USB Ethernet adapter is needed separately for a laptop that has only USB ports.
Television and console networking. Connect an Ethernet-equipped smart TV, streaming device or games console to a router. Select the wired network option in the device settings after attaching the cable.
Office and home network links. Connect appropriate router, switch, printer or NAS Ethernet ports over a longer indoor route. The connected equipment still needs the correct network configuration and its normal power supply.
Will it work with your setup?
- Suitable for standard RJ45 Ethernet ports on compatible computers, routers, switches, smart TVs, consoles, network printers and NAS devices.
- Can be used with 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet equipment; the connection operates at the speed supported by the equipment and network.
- Devices without an Ethernet port need an appropriate network adapter, supplied separately.
Setup and everyday use
- Measure the intended route rather than the straight-line distance. Include bends around furniture, entry points into cable management and a little slack at both ends. Keep the route clear of closing doors and places where the cable could be crushed.
- Connect one RJ45 plug to the appropriate router or switch Ethernet port and the other to your device. Check the port labels when connecting networking equipment; a router WAN port has a different role from its LAN ports.
- Choose a wired connection in the device settings if required. Check the Ethernet link indicator and negotiated link speed. Test normal browsing or a local file transfer before securing the complete 30m route.
- Arrange the spare length in a loose coil and support the cable along its route. Release the RJ45 latch before unplugging and hold the connector housing instead of pulling on the lead.

- This is a data cable, not a modem, Wi-Fi repeater or internet service. It cannot increase the speed of your broadband plan.
- The listed performance is up to 1Gbps. A 10Gbps connection is not promised for this SKU.
- No outdoor, underground, in-wall fire rating or PoE power rating is established here. Choose a cable expressly specified for those installation requirements.
