UGREEN NW122 2m Slim Cat6A U/UTP Ethernet Cable, Black (70334)
Overview
UGREEN 70334 connects two standard RJ45 Ethernet ports, such as a computer to a router or a NAS to a switch. Both ends are male RJ45 plugs, and the cable is passive: it needs no driver, power supply or configuration.

What it does well.

Key features
At a glance
A slim short-run network cable with standard RJ45 ends.
RJ45 plug A. Connects to a router, switch, modem, wall jack or other RJ45 Ethernet port.
RJ45 plug B. Connects to a PC, laptop dock, NAS, printer, console, access point or another Ethernet device.
U/UTP construction. The four twisted pairs are unshielded. Sensible separation from power cabling and interference remains important.
Bare-copper core. UGREEN lists 32AWG bare-copper conductors, a slim PVC jacket and 24K gold-plated connector contacts.
Up to 10Gbps and 500MHz on a compatible end-to-end link
Cat6A performance
The cable carries standard copper Ethernet and is rated for Cat6A performance. To establish 10GbE, both network interfaces and all intermediate components must support the same class of link.
- 10Gbps is not created by the cable alone.
- Backward operation at 5Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 1Gbps or lower depends on connected equipment.

Flexible routing for tidy, visible indoor patching
Slim 2.8mm profile
The 2.8mm diameter is much slimmer than many conventional round Ethernet patch leads, helping behind monitors, along a desk edge or through open cable-management channels.
- Leave gentle bends rather than tight corners.
- Provide strain relief at each RJ45 port.

32AWG bare copper with 24K gold-plated contacts
Signal construction
UGREEN identifies bare-copper 32AWG conductors and 24K gold-plated contacts for this exact model. The twisted-pair geometry is responsible for the network signal path.
- Keep contacts dry and free of debris.
- Do not open or re-terminate the moulded plugs.
No driver—just connect two compatible Ethernet ports
Plug-and-play networking
Ethernet auto-negotiation occurs between the devices at each end. The cable contains no software, IP address, switch, router or Wi-Fi radio.
- Listen for each latch to click.
- Check port link lights where available.

Use scenarios
Real-world applications
Short wired connections around a desk or network cabinet.
PC or dock to router. Create a stable 2m wired link without relying on Wi-Fi, at the speed supported by both network ports.
NAS to switch. Use the 10Gbps-rated short patch cable between compatible storage and network equipment.
Console or TV. Connect an RJ45-equipped entertainment device to a nearby router or switch for wired network access.
Patch-panel area. Use as a slim indoor patch lead where 2m reaches comfortably without sharp tension or crushing.

Compatible devices and systems
Device and system fit
Standard RJ45 Ethernet equipment.
Routers and switches. Compatible with copper RJ45 LAN ports; port speed determines the negotiated ceiling.
Computers and docks. Works with built-in Ethernet or a separate RJ45 adapter supported by the computer.
NAS, printers and access points. Suitable for devices with standard RJ45 Ethernet connectivity and an appropriate network configuration.
Operating systems. OS-independent as a passive cable; network drivers are required only by the connected adapter, not the cable.
Setup and usability guidance
Connection workflow
Connect, verify and route without crushing the cable.
- Inspect both plugs, latch tabs and ports.
- Plan an indoor 2m route with slack at both ends.
- Insert the first RJ45 plug until it clicks.
- Insert the second plug into the destination port until it clicks.
- Check link indicators and confirm negotiated speed.
- Secure the cable with non-crushing clips or open raceway.
The cable cannot exceed the network around it
Realistic performance
Cat6A, 10Gbps and 500MHz are cable ratings. The real link is set by the slowest port and every component in the channel.
10GbE equipment. Can negotiate up to 10Gbps when ports, channel and settings support it.
Gigabit equipment. Negotiates at 1Gbps or another supported lower mode; the cable does not force a faster link.
File transfers. Storage and protocol overhead commonly limit observed throughput below link signalling rate.
Internet access. Limited by the ISP, router and remote service as well as the local Ethernet link.

Function scope and boundaries
Function scope and boundaries
- Connect two RJ45 Ethernet ports over 2m.
- Support a Cat6A component rating up to 10Gbps/500MHz.
- Provide an unshielded U/UTP copper path.
- Work at lower Ethernet rates negotiated by the equipment.
- It does not provide Wi-Fi, routing or network switching.
- It does not make 1Gbps ports operate at 10Gbps.
- It does not provide optical-fibre connectivity.
- It is not shielded despite its Cat6A rating.
Check before buying
Important limitations
Confirm these points before buying or connecting model 70334:
- Both devices need RJ45 Ethernet ports or appropriate adapters.
- Two metres must reach without tension.
- 10Gbps requires compatible 10GbE equipment end to end.
- This model is U/UTP, not shielded.
- The slim jacket must be protected from crushing and sharp bends.

Good practice
Good practice
- Route in a dry indoor area.
- Leave slack and gentle bends.
- Seat both latches fully.
- Check negotiated link speed after connection.
- Do not route under carpet or through a closing door.
- Do not place under chair wheels or furniture feet.
- Do not pull the cable by its jacket.
- Do not claim guaranteed internet or file-copy speed.

Warnings and limitations
Safe operation
Warning 1. A damaged Ethernet cable can cause intermittent links; replace it rather than taping over a crushed or cut section.
Warning 2. Keep RJ45 contacts dry and free from conductive debris.
Warning 3. Route so the cable cannot become a trip hazard or interfere with doors and moving furniture.

Routers, switches, RJ45 adapters, clips and cable raceway are not included.
Questions buyers ask.
Is this the 2m model?
Yes. SKU 70334 is the verified black 2m cable.
Does it support 10Gbps?
It is rated up to 10Gbps, provided the ports and full cable channel also support 10GbE.
Is it shielded?
No. The exact U/UTP specification means it is unshielded.
What does 500MHz mean?
It is the listed Cat6A cable bandwidth, not an internet speed measurement.
Can I use it with a 1Gbps router?
Yes. The link negotiates at the lower speed supported by the connected equipment.
Can I place it under carpet?
No. Carpet, chair wheels and furniture can crush the slim cable and create a safety hazard.
Does it require a driver?
No. The passive cable requires no driver; the connected Ethernet adapter may require its own system driver.
Why is my file transfer below 10Gbps?
The ports, storage, protocol overhead, files and complete channel determine real throughput.
Does it deliver power?
No PoE capability is claimed for this exact cable description; it is sold here for Ethernet data connectivity.
