UGREEN 50203 1.5m 3-in-1 USB-A Charging & Data Cable
Overview
UGREEN 50203 is a 3-in-1 USB-A charging and USB 2.0 data cable with selectable device connector in the 1.5m configuration. Its ceiling is Connector-specific current: Lightning up to 2.4A; USB-C up to 3A; Micro-USB up to 2A for charging and Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data for data; no video output.
What it does well.

Charging explained without the guesswork
Maximum: Connector-specific current: Lightning up to 2.4A; USB-C up to 3A; Micro-USB up to 2A.
Negotiation: USB-A source with device-specific charging; no USB Power Delivery claim because the source plug is USB-A.
This is a conventional USB-A cable rather than a USB-C Power Delivery cable. Connect only one device branch at a time; the selected device, source and connector-specific ceiling determine the actual current. Battery state, temperature and system load can still reduce the observed rate.
For full rated power: use a suitable USB-A source, select one connector only, and respect its ceiling: Lightning 2.4A, USB-C 3A or Micro-USB 2A.
Key features
Data ceiling. Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data. Marketing file-transfer examples are laboratory illustrations; storage and host speeds determine real results.
Video capability. No video output. A monitor may fit physically yet receive no signal.
Backward compatibility. When a faster host meets a slower cable or peripheral, the link normally falls back to the common supported mode; it does not upgrade the slower device.
The USB-C shape trap. USB-C describes the connector, not a single feature set. Charging power, USB speed, DisplayPort Alt Mode and Thunderbolt certification must be checked separately.
Use scenarios
Mixed-device travel. Carry one 1.5m lead for a Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB device, while using only one branch at a time.
Shared household drawer. Keep one cable ready for older and newer low-voltage devices without treating it as a simultaneous charging splitter.
File sync. Use the selected branch for up to Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data data when that device and USB-A host support data on the chosen connector.
Car and desktop USB-A. Use with a suitable USB-A charger or computer port; actual charging speed follows the source, device and branch limit.
Setup and usability guidance
- Step 1: Check the required job before connecting: charging only, ordinary USB 2.0 sync, high-speed storage, display, dock or eGPU.
- Step 2: Confirm the source is USB-A, select the one required Lightning/USB-C/Micro-USB destination and verify 1.5m is the intended length.
- Step 3: For charging, connect one device branch only. The connector ceilings are Connector-specific current: Lightning up to 2.4A; USB-C up to 3A; Micro-USB up to 2A.
- Step 4: For data, connect directly and verify the host reports the expected class. This model is rated Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data.
- Step 5: Do not troubleshoot a monitor with this cable: this SKU has no display path.
- Step 6: Insert straight and fully. Route a relaxed loop, keep plugs dry and disconnect by the housing rather than the cable.
Compatible devices and systems
Compatibility class: USB-A chargers and computers as the source; one compatible Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB phone, accessory or legacy device at the destination; the Lightning branch is identified as Apple MFi-certified.
Lightning devices. Compatible Lightning iPhone, iPad and accessory models can use the MFi-stated branch within its 2.4A ceiling.
USB-C phones and accessories. Compatible USB-C phones, tablets, earbuds, controllers and power banks can charge within the 3A ceiling; this is not laptop USB-C PD.
Micro-USB equipment. Older Android devices, speakers, cameras, controllers and accessories can use the Micro-USB branch within its 2A ceiling.
USB-A sources. Suitable wall chargers, car chargers, power banks and computer USB-A ports can act as the source; port output and data support vary.
What this product does
- Connects a USB-A source to one selected Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB device branch using the 1.5m model.
- Carries connector-specific charging within Connector-specific current: Lightning up to 2.4A; USB-C up to 3A; Micro-USB up to 2A.
- Carries data up to Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data on compatible equipment.
- No video output.
What this product does not do
- use only one device connector at a time; not a simultaneous three-device splitter; not USB-C Power Delivery, video, USB4 or Thunderbolt; connector-specific current limits differ.
- It does not include a charger or raise a charger/device above its own designed limit.
- It does not guarantee a named charge time, file-copy time or display mode under every battery, thermal, storage and operating-system condition.
- It does not repair a damaged device port, worn battery or unstable charger.
- It does not prove compatibility from connector shape alone; the device and source must support the intended function.
What to do
Match SKU and length. Order SKU 50203, 1.5m. Similar UGREEN variants may differ in power, speed, display and LED features.
Check the full chain. Verify charger port, host port, dock/adapter, peripheral and display specifications—not just the cable headline.
Leave connector slack. Use a gentle service loop so device sockets do not carry the cable weight or repeated side force.
Test directly first. Remove hubs and adapters when diagnosing. Confirm basic charging/data/display directly, then rebuild the system one component at a time.
What not to do
Do not force a plug. Stop if a case, debris or misalignment prevents full insertion. Clean only with devices powered down.
Do not knot or crush. Do not trap the lead under chair wheels, doors or furniture, and do not wind it tightly around a charger.
Do not use when wet. Keep ports and connectors dry. Disconnect damaged, hot, corroded or discoloured equipment and have it checked.
Do not rely on a headline alone. A maximum wattage or resolution is conditional. Confirm the profile, interface and complete route.
Warnings and limitations
Heat: mild warmth can occur during high-power charging; stop use if a plug or cable becomes abnormally hot, smells burnt, arcs or shows damage.
Charging: Connector-specific current: Lightning up to 2.4A; USB-C up to 3A; Micro-USB up to 2A is a maximum rating, not a promise that a device will request it. Multi-port chargers can lower output when other ports are used.
Data/display: Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data; no video output. Real performance depends on every component.
How to choose and use this 3-in-1 cable
Match the device socket. Choose Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB only after confirming the device port; never force a plug that does not seat smoothly.
Use one branch. This is a selectable multi-connector lead, not a three-device charging hub. Leave the other two branches disconnected.
Basic data only. Use it for up to Up to 480Mbps (USB 2.0) when the selected connector and connected device support data sync where supported; choose a faster purpose-built cable for SSDs, docks or large transfers.
Choose another cable for PD or video. Laptop-class USB-C PD, DisplayPort video, USB4 and Thunderbolt need an explicitly rated USB-C-to-USB-C cable.
Troubleshooting
No charging. Disconnect the unused branches, confirm the USB-A source works, select the correct device connector, inspect seating/debris and test another suitable source.
Charging is slow. Use one device branch only, compare the source output with the selected 2.4A/3A/2A ceiling, and check device heat, workload and battery settings.
No data. Use a known data-capable computer USB-A port, one device branch only, then unlock the device and select its file-transfer or trust mode when prompted.
No display. Expected for this SKU: it has no video output. Use a full-feature video-capable cable.
Connection drops. Remove strain, hubs and adapters; reseat straight; update host/dock firmware; and test each component separately to find the failing link.
Unexpected warmth. Stop high-power use, inspect for damage and retry with certified compatible charger/device equipment in a ventilated area.
